ANECDOTE TIMEWhen Uncle Lambert was a "kid", made his own crystal radio.
That might not seem to be much of a feat by today's standards,
when a basic radio can be bought on a pre-schooler's allowance,
but...he MADE his own radio. He made his own bicycle. Spare parts and spit (his description). That's pretty descriptive. Book learning was not his forte', but give him some duct tape, shoelaces, and other leftover pieces and he became a virtual MacGuyver.
And he could play a harmonica, and he could wiggle his ears,
and he had a stamp collection, and he could tell stories about anything,
and he and Aunt Pauline used to take me to the movies! He was just a very special uncle.
