Honeymoon 1930





Doris and Jack Kemmerlin
honeymooned in South Carolina.

This was her first meeting with her new in-laws.

Now this is the hard part.
I'm not sure of who is who.
I will appreciate any help that comes my way...








Mom (Doris) is in the print dress, I'm sure that's Aunt Mattie on the right.
Something is telling me that the Uncle in the middle is Uncle Hydrick
but then another little voice says no, Uncle Bubba (George).
Anyone?    Help?

He's awfully cute, isn't he?










I'm still seeing Mom and Aunt Mattie
but I have no idea who that pretty young lady holding the baby is.
As far as all the kids, I'm guessing they were born around 1922-25,
since the picture was taken in 1930.



UPDATE 12/13/03

The little boy holding Mom's hands is my cousin, Seba Allen Kemmerlin, who was named for
my father, John Seba.

How did I find out?  From his daughter, Debbie.

I've also been in touch with his daughter Barbara
and son, Seba Allen, Jr.

Can you say "EXCITEMENT"?

Not nearly as loudly as I can!

Kemmerlin Kids

I don't remember ever knowing who they are.

They are either my aunts or uncles or cousins.
???








Aunt Mattie and Mom face each other, 15 year old Aunt Jo is in the middle.
I need help, really.  I'm pretty sure these uncles had names.







A whole line of Kemmerlins!

We have back row Aunt Mattie, Mom, way in back could be Uncle Laurie
(looks like a younger version of my father), and another Uncle.
Front row is Grandma Kemmerlin (Mah), Grandpa Kemmerlin (Pah),
Aunt Jo, and Uncle Archie(?)

These were (I think) taken outside the "family house" in Elloree.
There is now a highway where the house once was.
Progress.


UPDATE 7/16/04

That isn't the Elloree House on Highway 301,
it's a house just outside Cameron SC.

Deb is going to try to get pictures,
and if I can manage to get down there
for the family reunion,
I'm going to steal a piece of it.
*grin*
